Festive Baking

I do so enjoy a bit of baking at this time of year! Miss M and I enjoyed making a simple sponge cake and mince pies at the weekend and today I made white chocolate peppermint fudge as gifts for a couple of friends I am meeting with on Wednesday evening. Later on this week, I will be heading to my mums where she is going to show me how to make tablet as gifts for my work colleagues. I can't wait, my mums tablet is amazing and I am really looking forward to spending the morning baking and making with her!

Have you been doing any festive baking?

  1. Your Christmas bakes look so yummy! My husband and eldest daughter are making orange and almond cake right now. The whole house smells of orange!
Enjoy your morning baking with your Mum. Hope to see some photos.

  2. Everything you baked looks delicious. I baked three kinds of cookies over the weekend, most of which will be given away. I hope you have a nice time with your Mum. I don't know what tablet is, so I hope you'll share about it. :)

  3. Your bakes look great! Bloke works for Muller Dairy and they can't stock pile enough of the stuff for people needing Muller light in January! We are all so predictable aren't we. It happens every year apparently but a little bit of what you like does you good. Jo x

  4. I made lebkuchen at the weekend after finding some dough in the back of the freezer. Next week I'm planning to make panettone after seeing a recipe in one of my books for us to eat on Christmas morning. I've never made anything with yeast before so I'll have some extra goodies on hand just in case! Your bakes look lovely. x

  7. Oh it all looks so yum-yum-yummy Marianne and I wish you a happy time with your Mum making tablet - so far only a batch of shortbread has been produced in my kitchen so things will have to heat up a bit soon! Warm hugs, Joy xo

  18. This post made me so envious! I made 72 mini mince pies (most of them went into boxes as gifts) this week, but I've been so busy finishing gifts that I haven't had the chance to spend as much time in the kitchen as I'd have liked. I really wanted to make stained glass window biscuits but I don't think there will be time now. Your baking looks amazing. x
