A couple of months ago I took the plunge and made my first post on Instagram. I had downloaded the app a while ago but to be honest, I was unsure if Instagram would be for me and if I would like it. However, I can safely say that I really, really like it! I love how quick and easy it is to just share a moment and although my posts are mainly flowers, cake and crochet (not that much different to my blog then!) I am enjoying capturing these happy moments. There is a lovely, friendly little community on there and lots of crafty people so it's very inspiring too.
I really like the filters on Instagram and how easy it is to make a not very great photograph look really nice. The photographs above are all from my Instagram feed and were all taken on my iphone.
What do you think of Instagram? Are you on there too? I am ladybirddiaries on there if you want to have a look at the rest of my photos...

I have just checked on my calendar and its saying Bank Holiday Monday (UK) so I presume that includes Scotland, a nice bonus that you weren't expecting.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure I could manage Instagram I have all on operating a mobile phone, I only carry one for emergencies.
I'm going to hop over to Instagram later to have a look at more of your lovely photos - any excuse to see more of them :) I haven't taken the plunge as most days I'd have nothing to show except my work computer! Maybe when I get a phone with a decent camera. x
ReplyDeleteGreat pics. Jo x
ReplyDeleteI think I might like Instagram for my own memories rather than for sharing. I am more of a story person overall. Lovely pics! Have a great weekend. Cx.
ReplyDeleteFound you and am following, I'm still ot sure about instagram but it's early days I haven't used it much yet. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is really interesting to read as I've been avoiding instagram as I didn't really see the need but this has piqued my interest as sometimes getting photos into blogger is such a sloooow process. I'm going to sign up and have a peep at yours and see how I get on. Thanks Marianne.
ReplyDeleteNo, I'm not on Instagram, just my blog! Your pictures are lovely and so are your blog posts, so I hope that you don't leave your blog and just go to Instagram! xx
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried Instagram yet but it does look like fun. Your photos are really pretty and they're very "Ladybird Diaries," I think. :)
ReplyDeleteI think I don't understand Instagram . Perhaps should investigate before my Little People start asking of they can have accounts on there
ReplyDeleteI haven't taken the plunge, still trying to get my head round having a blog, and too much 'sharing' makes me nervous! I also try to avoid Pinterest too, as it kind of sucks you in. The reason I like blogs is because the human voice is there too, and gives a context to the photographs, but good luck with it and have fun (as long as you don't abandon your blog, which would be a real shame!) x
ReplyDeleteLovely pics! Im a newbie on Instagram after resisting for a long while but I love it now. Still figuring it out properly though. Off to follow you now, see you there :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend, xx
on there too - be warned, it's highly addictive! I'll start following you now! x
ReplyDeleteHello Marriane
ReplyDeleteStunning pictures, my favourite is the coastal one.
luv

xxxx
It's been great for me to keep in touch with the creative community whilst I've had so little time, great filters aren't they! :) xxx
ReplyDeleteI refuse to take the plunge and start Tweeting and posting on Instagram. I want my life to be about slowly down and enjoying it in a simpler way. FB is bad enough! Though as someone who is very interested in photography, I have to fight the urge sometimes! Your table scene is lovely. :)
ReplyDeleteI have been on instagram for awhile but never really 'got it' your post has intrigues me I off to play with filters. your photos are amazing
ReplyDeletei like Instragram and photo filters are great but i dont use it very often, perhaps because whenever i try to upload something from my phone, it takes ages and many trials. i post mostly craft photos.
ReplyDeleteIm not a bit twitter user either, i prefer facebook :)
I'm not on Instagram. Not sure if I'll ever get round to it but I can understand the appeal.
ReplyDeleteI have instagram too but I go off and on using it.... But I will definitely find you on there so I can follow your feed as you always take lovely photos!
ReplyDeleteI think it is so much quicker and simpler to be honest, you can post 'on the move' . Have to say I havent done much with filters (if I'm honest I havent tried anything other than one photo at a time! and wouldnt know where to start.Maybe I need to experiment?)XX
ReplyDeleteHi,I absolutely LOVE your blog,so don't stop lol.I do not know anything about instagram or Pinterest,I do not have an iphone either lol. However,I do have a blog and I am on FB,so I'm not too out of it.I have just jotted down your iced bics recipe going to have a go at them for me and the husband ( sadly no kiddi winks but the neighbours kids do get spoilt).Happy blogging x
ReplyDeleteLove your Instagram photos. I've downloaded the app before but never really used it for sharing photos. I might give it another try. Have a lovely week! x
ReplyDeleteI'm an Instagram addict but only for my own personal use for editing & sprucing up my phone pics for posting onto Facebook. I only have friends following me & vice versa. I don't use it as a form of social media at all. It's my Instagram pics that I tend to use on my blog as so much quicker to upload them to blogger than if I have to download them to my PC from my camera etc
ReplyDeleteLike you , I really like instagram. I find it's the social side I enjoy the most. It can be a very inspiring place, too. Lovely images. x
ReplyDeleteI'm a converted instagrammer. At first I was very standoffish about it, now I love it!
