Ruby Loves Magazine

In the supermarket last week, Miss M and I spotted a new craft magazine especially for girls. As Miss M has been a very good girl (and I admit I was feeling quite guilty for having to work so much during the Easter holidays), we bought it as a special treat. It's called Ruby Loves and it came with a craft kit included to make six projects. We both like this little magazine very much! The projects are all explained step by step inside and there are also lots of other crafty ideas included.

Supplies are included to make a tote bag, a kitten key ring, a ring, decorated pegs and cardmaking things. Over the past week or so we have been busy making a few of the projects with the craft supplies included...

We made a sparkly galaxy ring. Lots of fun to do with sparkly nail polishes...

Pretty decorated pegs with happy faces...

A little kitten key ring which we finished making this morning. Miss M has really been enjoying doing a little sewing lately and here is the little kitten key ring looking pretty on her bag...

There are lots more little projects within the magazine to keep us busy, so it has definately been a worthwhile purchase! We are planning to do the tote bag next and then a magazine holder before it is back to school next week!

Back soon...

  1. Hello,
Thank you so much for stopping by little blog! I have had a lovely time perusing yours. Love the little kitten you made with your daughter. What a lovely idea for a magazine! Your crochet blanket is gorgeous and I love what you did with your cardigan too! So many lovely things to look at!

  6. How sweet! Everything you made is adorable. I love to look at these magazines in the craft stores, like Mollie Makes, but I'm always afraid to spend the money; I think they cost $10 here. I may have to treat myself one of these days because the free gifts always look so fun.

  8. Well there is my rainy day with the girls sorted! Thank you for sharing, it looks ideal for my crafty 9-year-old, so we'll be popping out this morning to pick it up! Gosh, our daughters will want their own blogs then to showcase their craft, won't they? ;-) chrissie x

  9. Thanks for the tip. I will look out for this. My daughter loves a magazine as much as I do and I get so fed up with the plastic crap that comes with most of them. At least this is something useful and creative! x
