Summer holidays so far...

We are nearly a week into the school summer holidays here and as the weather has not really been kind so far, we have been keeping occupied with mostly indoor activities...

Miss M is very keen on reading at the moment and the books above are her current favourites...

Playing with Hama beads...

Colouring with an all important snack and drink to hand...

Making pasta necklaces...

Planning what we are going to make from this lovely magazine given to Miss M by my mum as a little treat last weekend....

Doing Lego together. I have no idea why the horse is visiting the cafe though...

So lots of things to keep us busy, still hoping for some sunshine though!

Thank you so very much for the lovely comments on the ice cream blanket. I was really quite overwhelmed, and am often amazed at the loveliness of the blogging community. So really, thank you and welcome to my new readers, it is lovely to have you here.

  9. Looks like you are having such a lovely time. The first week of the hols is always great as it is just so lovely to spend time together and then we all get a bit titchy and need good weather and other things to brighten up the days, so I really hope that the weather will improve for you. I know the forecast is looking a little more optimistic. Enjoy the lego and some quality time. xoxo

  10. Looks like it's going to be a fun summer at your house - and I love that the horse gets to go to the cafe too! Do you remember the whiskey advert with the strap line "you can take a white horse anywhere"?
Enjoy the sunshine & have a great weekend,
    Xx

  11. Maybe the horse is thirsty too. Looks like you've been having a lovely time together, my daughter loved the Fairy books too and was so thrilled to find one with her name on it. Fingers crossed for a warmer, sunny weekend :) xx

  12. I love the way your life mirrors parts of mine! We are in the thick of rainbow fairy books and in that edition of Ruby makes both girls made the sunset tea light holder AND little M has just asked her uncle for Lego friends for her birthday present!!! spooky. We are yet to venture into hama beads - they look like they would drive me crackers picking them up off the floor from a 3 year old all the time. Always great to check in Jo x

  13. Lovely kiddies zone - I like it - enjoy these times for they are over much too quickly.
And please do give that poor horse a drink and some oats for he's travelled a long way in search of them!
Wonderful holidays to you and yours!

  17. Oh, you make me want to be 6 again! It's so lovely that you do all of these activities together. My daughter is still enjoying doing decopatch so we had a craft afternoon earlier this week which was so nice (and my daughter is in her 20s!). x

  18. I think my 6 year old daughter would quite like to have a playdate with yours! Such similar tastes in reading and crating. I'll look out for that Ruby magazine, it might be a good one for the summer hols. x
