To be honest, I haven't really been doing a lot of crochet this week! I have actually been doing more knitting than crochet, although I did finish the crochet scarf I was making for my friend and I will show that soon...
I am still working on my blanket and have made a couple more squares today. This is quite a good winter project really, it's easy to pick up in between other projects and I like to have something like that to work on, a sort of slow ongoing project. The colours I think are quite spring like so I am hoping to have it finished for the start of spring!
I received a lovely surprise parcel from Chrissie in the post yesterday! It is a ball of gorgeous Lily Sugar 'n' Cream yarn in the prettiest colour way from her recent trip to the USA. I am delighted with it, thank you so very much Chrissie and I am really looking forward to crocheting a pretty washcloth with it.
What have you been crocheting this week? If you would like me add a link to your post here, just leave a little note in the comments.
Some lovely crochet here...
G is away this weekend as he is taking part in the Strathpuffer event, crazy boy that he is. So, myself and Miss M are planning to go out for lunch after swimming on Saturday and then spend some time crafting and playing with Lego. Maybe a nice walk and a bit of baking too, we shall see.
Hope everyone has a great weekend, whatever your plans are.
X
What a lovely gift from Chrissie! Your squares are looking good too, I like the colours, as you say, very springlike! xx

I think Sugar n' Cream is the best name for a brand of yarn I've ever heard! I would buy balls of the stuff if it was available here. Love the look of the granny squares. x
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you like your yarn! The colours reminded me of you, and of course it suits my kitchen, too! Great minds...good luck to your hubby, my guy does the same type of nutty adventures, like the KIM, the LAMM, etc. I'd rather stay warm and dry and crafting! ;-) I'm loving your squares, absolutely scrumptious colours! Cx
ReplyDeleteYour granny squares are looking so fresh and Spring like Marianne. I bought some more style craft yarn today as I dance crocheting a big blanket again, other than that I am making a crochet bunny doll and playing with triangles. Have a lovely weekend ad good luck to your man x

I've been doing more knitting than crochet this week too. I'm knitting a jumper for my son but I also have a granny strip crocheted blanket on the go too. Xx
ReplyDeleteLove your colourful squares Marianne and look forward to seeing the finished project. I find crochet very therapeutic (will probably disappear under a huge pile of it one day). Working on a ripple blanket at the mo and have been 'playing' with different granny squares. Have a lovely girlie weekend with Miss M.
