Three Good Things

I have been a good stash buster lately, so I decided that I could allow myself to buy some new yarn! Inspired by Sue at Sweetpea Family, I am planning to make a crochet bag after seeing her gorgeous bag here. I am so looking forward to starting this...

More blog inspiration! I have lots of lavender growing in the garden and had never thought to bring it inside before but after reading Jennifer's post and seeing her pretty lavender displayed on her bedside table here I really wanted to do the same. I think Jennifer's lavender is maybe a little healthier than mine, I think I have said before - I am no gardener! However, I love how this looks and it smells so nice....

Miss M and I had a lovely evening at a good friend's house last night. Lots of lovely food, drinks (I tried Pimms for the first time!) and fun. It was a very late night for us and we were both tired this morning but it was worth it, we had such a nice time. I made these lemon creams to take for dessert. The recipe, such as it is, can be found here. We had them with some summer berries - raspberries, blueberries and strawberries, very nice...

Thank you for all the lovely comments recently, I do so enjoy reading them and reading your gorgeous blogs in return. I love all the sharing and inspiration from other bloggers and I think it is fair to say that I have definitely felt very inspired by other bloggers recently. Most definitely a very good thing!

  3. The lemon cream looks lovely and lemon is one of my all-time favourite flavours. A lady at my quilt group makes the most fabulous lemon possett and brings some to every party - she doesn't dare not to after our reaction when she brought something else once! x

The lavender looks - and I'm sure smells - lovely in your sweet little vase. It's a very relaxing aroma for the bedside isn't it!
What a light and refreshing dessert you made - anything lemon goes down well as far as I'm concerned!
I do agree, the inspiration gained from each other in blogland is a wonderful thing, and much prized all round, I'm sure!

I'm a big lavender fan too, we have loads planted here in our garden and I've just picked a big bunch of it to have inside the house.

  15. Lemon cream - yuuuuuuum! I am defo following that link, there is nothing better than a lemon dessert! I adore lavender, we had lots in out old garden and I really miss it ... I have always wanted to visit the south of France in lavender season, to see the purple hillsides, but it has always finished by the time summer comes :( ... although just last week I discovered that there is a farm near me that grows 2 fields of lavender, the photos look beautiful and as we are cooler here in the UK it is just coming in to full bloom, I"m desperate to go, but it will have to wait until we get back from holiday - we're off tomorrow (I really should be in bed - but just had to catch up with my bloggy friends before going!). Have a fabulous summer, Em xxx

  16. Well, healthy or not, that lavender in the glass bottle looks so beautiful. We used to have five thriving lavender bushes in our front garden but the snow killed them all off last winter. I miss them. x
