Simple Sewing

I mentioned in a previous post that I had finished all my recent WIPS! Well, here are some little sewing projects I have been working on, all very simple but enjoyable to do. I absolutely love hand sewing, appliqué and quick and simple little projects...

This was a little kit which came free with the very first issue of Mollie Makes! I totally forgot I had this and came across it recently whilst sorting through some of my craft things (also when I found the forgotten cross stitch!). So I spent an enjoyable couple of hours last week stitching this little smartphone case. Unfortunately I don't own a smartphone but it still fits my old little mobile phone nicely...

Above are a couple of cushions I made as a housewarming gift for a friend at work. As usual, I just bought the cushion covers complete with inner pad from here, and appliquéd on the fabric hearts using bondaweb and a simple running stitch...

The little tote bags I made as birthday gifts as Miss M had two birthday parties to attend last week. The pre-made bags were purchased from here and the fabric hearts again applied with bondaweb and finished with some straight stitch. I love the bright, cheery pattern of the heart fabric above which was a total bargain from a local fabric shop...

I am now planning another (potentially more tricky!) sewing project which I will share a little about in my next post.

Thank you for the lovely comments recently, I really do appreciate them. Oh, I had a couple of questions about my tea cosy from this post. I knitted this last year and it was a pattern that I adapted and changed from a couple of other patterns so I could maybe call it my own pattern?! Thank you for the sweet comments about it, I have the pattern written down and so will attempt to put it on my blog maybe on the sidebar or something if anyone would like it? G will have to help me with this though as I am not "technically minded" at all, but hopefully I will be able to do it soon!

X
