I finished the baby blanket I was working on a few days ago. It involved a new technique for me - double crocheting the individual squares together. It took me quite a few attempts to get the hang of it, but I like the effect it gives on the finished blanket...
I made 20 granny squares which each had six rounds of trebles. These were great to do as I could make a couple each night whilst watching television. I used double crochet to join them together then worked the same border I did on my last two blankets - the edging from the Flower Cot Blanket from Nicki Trench's Cute and Easy Crocheted Baby Clothes. It was also a very economical little make as I used up yarn leftover from my giant granny blanket and pink sweetie blanket! I am happy with it and hope the recipient (and their mummy...!) will be too.
Now I have finished all my current WIPS, I have lots of new projects to start! Can't wait...
