1. Lavender and roses making the bedroom smell sweet and look pretty...
2. Cute & Easy Crochet With Flowers!! I am beyond excited about this book, it is beautiful it really is. So many lovely projects in gorgeous colours and all styled so nicely. Chrissie and I are planning a crochet-a-along with a project from the book, starting next month. Hopefully a few of you will join in...
Apples given to us by our lovely neighbour, who has a huge apple tree in her garden. She was very generous and gave us a large bag full. We have already made (and eaten, i must admit...) tarte tatin and lots of stewed apples to have with custard or ice cream...
Hope everyone is having a lovely week...

Three lovely things! I love the look of that book, but sadly cannot crochet. I do love this time of year for the apple glut we get though - lots of apple crumble mmmm! Julie x
ReplyDeleteIndeed, a lovely three things and beautifully photographed too!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your lovely comment on the cardigan!
ReplyDeleteWe are struggling with the amount of apples from our tree this year, I wish some neighbours would take some of them!! I might have to make a tarte tatin, we are all fed up of crumbles and pies!
That rose and lavender posy looks lovely and I am sure it smells wonderful. The crochet along sounds great, what a good idea. As for the apples, I also had some dropped off last night, aren't we lucky and I can't wait to make apple pie or tarte tatin. Enjoy your week lovely Marianne xoxo
ReplyDeleteMmmm apple pie! Apple crumble! If it wasn't cold & wet I'd go any buy myself some :) I've heard really good things about Nikki Trench books, glad you finally got that one :)
ReplyDeleteI'm currently looking at Nicki Trench's book Cute & Easy Crochet, will definitely look at getting her new book. I've just made a lovely apple cake from Thistledown Dreams blog- it's absolutely delicious. Liz

ReplyDeleteSuch a happy little post, I'm a bit in love with the crocheted flowers book too, already made and blogged my first make from it 'flower pin cushion', but I love the flower bag so much, a crochet along sounds fun and those apples look so yummy.

All good things come in threes. Waiting for my apples to be ready. They are Egremont Russets and are a late apple. Still a few plums on the tree. Will look out for the crochet along pictures.

Such beautiful good things Marianne - gorgeous fragrance as well as beauty; exciting new inspirational book; and eating an apple freshly picked from the tree is such a fab experience!
ReplyDeleteI don't have that lovely book but have ordered no less than four publications this week - shhhhh - so think I may be looked on with disapproval if I stretch things any further, although I must say a crochet-along is very tempting! We'll see!!!
Happy days to you!
Joy xo
Such a pretty post, two of my favourite flowers and fragrances. I must have a look at this new book. X
ReplyDeleteSuch good things. Mmm, tarte tatin - I love it so much but the only time I tried to make it was a disaster. I must try again! x
ReplyDeleteWhat a great combo for bedroom flowers - they must smell amazing!

what a sweet post. roses and lavender are two of my favourites!! and the crochet flower is very cute too! xx
ReplyDeleteThat's the second time I've read rave reviews about that book this morning, am definitely going to pop over to Amazon for a nosy!
ReplyDeleteI am not the biggest fruit eater (unless it's with olive oil in a salad) but you've just jogged a memory - my grandmother would make a french apple tart (is that the same as tarte tatin?) about once a year and I used to love it.

That book looks tempting even to a total novice crocheter like me! And how lucky to have such a generous apple bestowing neighbour :)
