The Christmas markets we visited in Berlin had so many beautiful tree decorations it really was difficult to chose which ones to buy. After much consideration, Miss M and I chose the ones above. The tiny toadstool in the top photo is my favourite, Miss M loves the little dog best and G claims to like them all!
The pretty mug and necklace above were gifts to myself! The minute I saw the cup, I loved it and I have been using it for almost every hot drink I have had since I got it. I love my new necklace too, it's a bit different from anything else I have. G bought the handmade rosebud soap for me, it smells lovely but is so pretty I don't know if I can bear to use it!
G has taken Miss M to her swimming lesson this morning and when they return we plan to have a lovely family day. We are going to decorate the Christmas tree (I can't wait to hang our new ornaments!), enjoy a roast together at lunch, watch a Christmas movie (maybe Polar Express, we haven't quite decided...) and wrap a few gifts. Tommorrow, Miss M and I plan to do some making and baking and then we have my parents and my gran coming over for tea...
Thank you for all the lovely comments recently and I hope everyone has a great weekend.

The toadstools are my favourites too though my daughter loves the little dog. We're just about to get ready to go out to our friends house for dinner and will all be snuggling down to watch a film (Hugo, I think). Tomorrow we have some other friends stopping by to swap pressies. Sounds like you'll be enjoying a lovely weekend too :) x

Sounds like you are all having a lovely time.
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely things to remember your trip by! I love to collect Christmas decorations from different places as reminders of my visits. Your necklace is so pretty and very unusual, I am sure you will love wearing it. You are so funny about the little soap, I am like that too. You want to use it because it will be so lovely, but you want to keep it because it is so lovely!! Aren't we daft sometimes! Hope that you have a wonderful day with your christmas decorating. xx
ReplyDeleteThat toadstool is awfully cute! Reminds me of the little dancing toadstools in "Fantasia". The sad-faced basset is adorable too. Sounds like you had a very enjoyable weekend getting ready for Christmas. I'll be baking a bit more this week as my daughter comes home & she'll be looking for her Christmas favourites. Wendy x

ReplyDeleteI am so in love with that dog. The Germans do Christmas so well, don't they? I visited Cologne a few years ago and it was magical. I've just blogged (belatedly - been poorly) about the Christmas decoration swap. Thank you for organising it, great fun and I have another gorgeous decoration for my collection. XX
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, I just love your ornaments! The toadstool is delightful but I think I like the little solder/drummer boy best of all. I bet you had so much fun hanging them all on the tree. x
