These are a few of my favourite things...

I love novelty salt and pepper shakers and have a modest little collection. These sweet little gingerbread people are my favourites...

I really like pastel colours, but my absolute favourite colour is red...

I adore scarfs and I am secretly pleased that the weather is turning a little cooler and I can start wearing my favourites again...

I am a big fan of The Twilight Saga...

Tea is most definitely my favourite drink...

My favourite song is Thunder Road by Bruce Springsteen...

I am very fond of anything coconut scented...

I really enjoy lighting candles and little tea lights in the evenings. Another reason to appreciate the shorter days and longer evenings...

Do we share any of the same favourites?! I really enjoyed having a think about the little things that make life that wee bit nicer!

Thank you all for the lovely comments recently, they really do make my day!

X

  1. Yes, I can say that we share some favourites Marianne! I really like pastels - but can't say my favourite is red - but love pinks and mauves; I love scarfs and have quite a collection; I also love anything coconut scented; I adore candles and tea lights, sometimes all day as well as in the evenings - along with essential oils; I love green and herbal teas!
What a sweet post - your gingerbread salt and pepper shakers are very cute - all your pics are lovely, thank you for a lovely share!

  3. Scarves, tea and candles, count me in! I am waiting for it to turn a little cooler too so that I can bring my scarves back out again and start to wear them. Candles and tea I do all year round. I have a jasmine candle on the go at the moment, guess that I will be on to more autumny food fragrances before too long! Lovely pleasures for you to have shared with us.

  6. Love gingerbread men rather than cruet sets, wear a lot of scarves and of course red is best! Team Edward in the books but in the films it's got to be the Volturi, love candles but hate coconut and yes please I'd love a cup of tea!

  7. Tea: white with one sugar, scarves: pinks or ivories, candles: cinnamon-orange in winter or cassis-vanilla in summer. I'd love to collect s&p sets if I had space... Chrissie x

  8. Hi Ladybird what a lovely set of favourites - I particularly love the salt and pepper - I am a sucker for these things and have stopped myself buying them as I just fall in love with the cute ones - would have loved these as they are so happy and quirky. Ladybird your teacup and saucer brings back lots of memories of when I first got married and had a set just like this - these are so gentle and say such a lot about a person. A wonderful post Ladybird, thanks so much.
    Lots of love

  10. I love wearing scarves! My favourite colours are red, purple and turquoise, my favourite candle scent is Yankee candle cranberry or vanilla. My favourite hot beverage is tea, although I like mine in a mug as tea cups are too small for me! I enjoyed the twilight saga although only in book form, as I have only seen the first twilight film!

Your salt and pepper are adorable btw :) x

  15. Yes definitely a fan of some of your favourites. Twilight saga, loved and when I had completed all books, I felt a bit lost and wondered if I would find another to captivate me.
Scarfs, I have far too many, but will still buy more for the winter I'm sure.
Coconut, I love the smell, like to eat it and have just discovered coconut water, that is so refreshing. And candles, hmmmmm I can burn them any time :)
    What a lovely sharing post.

  18. A lovely post Marianne. I too love coconut in any shape and form, to eat and to smell. Scarves and hard are my weakness, I have a big French hat rack on our wall filled with more scarves than I will most probably ever wear and hats I love to pop on. I too love candles and the glow that they bring, but for me it's fires and sitting by them. Rooibos tea and camomile my faves along with mint. Wishing you a very lovely weekend and thank you for always leaving such sweet comments xoxo

  20. Great list. Always great to get to know a blogger better. I love vintage salt and pepper shakers too but i have to hide them away from my husband because he is prone to breaking salt shakers for some reason. Only salt ones, never pepper!

  23. I love tea too and candles are a must, especially in the bathroom when I am relaxing after a days work :o) Red is becoming more and more of a favourite colour with me, I never used to think I could wear it, but it is slowly creepy into my cardigans and scarves and shoes! As for coconut scent, I love it in the summer as it brings back sunny beach holiday memories for me from when I grew up in South Africa xox Penny
